Find a Maker Terms and Conditions

  1. Your Find a Maker Membership Subscriptions are taken monthly or annually, depending on your choice and will renew automatically.
  2. Your annual subscription is a 12 month contract and cannot be part refunded if you decide to leave Find a Maker part way through your subscription. Payments are taken through Stripe, you can use credit or debit cards.
  3. You may unsubscribe at any time, with one month’s notice, in writing.
  4. If your monthly or annual subscription is not renewed, your Find a Maker page will automatically close. You can resume your membership at any time, subject to a short review.
  5. All applications are reviewed by an independent selection panel and their decision is final.
  6. Exhibitors wishing to present work substantially different in nature from that accepted by the selection panel must apply to Find a Maker in writing.
  7. You can be a member of Find a Maker for as long as you pay your subscription. We will, however, review your application every 5 years, to ensure quality across the directory.
  8. Upon subscribing to Find a Maker you will grant us your permission to use your contact details to keep you informed with all relevant details pertaining to Find a Maker. Your contact information will not be used for other purposes without your express opt-in permission. 
  9. In consideration of Find a Maker assisting members in promoting their work, members must agree to grant Find a Maker a non-exclusive copyright licence for the duration of membership for any promotional materials for Find a Maker and/or its appointed publicity contractor, for the purposes of promoting and publicising their work and Find a Maker. In granting this licence exhibitors should be aware that the promotions may include the use of these materials on the Internet (World Wide Web) and that any images supplied may be scanned and held digitally for this purpose. The copyright is and will continue to be beneficially and solely owned by the exhibitor, who must ensure that it does not and will not infringe on any other copyright and that no information contained in the materials is or shall be inaccurate, misleading or injurious.
  10. All advice given is the opinion of the website owner and those of 3rd party advisors. Members are advised to make their own research and Find a Maker accepts no liability for any success or loss of business as a result of advice given. All advice is accepted at your own risk and Find a Maker accepts no liability.
  11. This website contains material which is owned by or licensed to us. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
  12. Unauthorised use of this website may give to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.
  13. Find a Maker is not responsible for the content of the Directory, or the actions of Users in relation to the available content. Find a Maker reserves the right to suspend or withdraw Services and/or Membership from Find a Maker Members who violate the Terms and not to use, or make available, any material on the Directory which it deems inappropriate, or to remove material from the Site or Directory which it considers to be in breach of these Terms.
  14. Upon successful selection, login details will be sent to the applicant. All content is uploaded by Find a Maker members and it is the member’s responsibility for the accuracy. Your listing automatically goes live on receipt of your subscription. You may update your listing at any time.
  15. Find a Maker members may use the Find a Maker logo on their own website and promotional material. Please link your website to www.findamaker.co.uk
