Sophie Snow is a contemporary quilt maker based in Saint Dogmaels, West Wales.

Having spent 10 years working in the creative industries Sophie’s practice has returned to her first love of craft-making. An experienced textile designer with a focus on quilt making Sophie creates bespoke one-off bed quilts and wall hangings. Handcrafted in her West Wales studio each piece is informed and inspired by the rugged Welsh coastline and comes to life through vivid colour, needle turn applique and hand-stitching techniques.

A graduate of both Manchester School of Art with a BA in Three-Dimensional Design and Winchester School with an MA in Textile Design Sophie has had a lifelong passion for textile design. Whilst travelling in her 20s where she saw block printing, kantha stitching groups, hand dyeing techniques which sparked a fascination with exploring hand crafting techniques within the textile world and a yearning to make slow, handcrafted pieces that will last through the generations.
