I design textured and tactile jewellery, recreating a sensation of fairy-tale elegance and enchantment by delicately brushing colours over my work.
My jewellery is inspired by organic shapes observed during my walks in Scottish woodlands. Being born and raised in Italy, I create pieces where Scottish landscape inspiration and Italian aesthetic sense merge together.
True beauty is revealed through Nature’s irregularity and imperfection. By realising my work great thought has been given with regard to both texture and colour. Rough areas are emphasised, colour is sometimes applied in different nuances and the oxidation process is left to take place. The jewellery springs to life, showing its vulnerability, mutation and beauty.
In 2013, I won a Commended Award in Fashion Jewellery (QVC Special Award) by The Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council (GC&DC) known as the Oscar of the Jewellery Industry.
Following a commission of medals by Perth Cathedral,Scotland, I entered a medal called “Look after the Land” to the GC&DC’s competition, winning a Bronze Award.
In 2021, I was one of 13 emerging makers selected for Shine 2021 by the prestigious Goldsmiths' Centre in London.
My work has been chosen to support Perth’s successful bid to become the UK’s first UNESCO City of Crafts and Folk Art.
