Katch Skinner is a tutor in ceramics and maker of things. She uses all sorts of hand building/ thrown and mould making for slip casting. Each earthenware piece is unique, using hand painted underglazes, slips for mono printing and sgraffito.
Katch makes everything from scratch, design, sculpt, mould making, casting, fettling, painting, firing and glazing is all done by her in her studio in Hebden Bridge, making the work unique and not mass produced.
Katch specialises in exhibition related pieces for museums and gallery shops, alongside domestic ware she make one off pieces for exhibitions and commissions.

Currently based at Northlight Art Studios in Hebden Bridge, she has years of ceramic teaching experience from adult education up to degree level.
Regular classes on Wednesday afternoons and evenings and weekend workshops and summer schools based at Northlight Art Studios, Hebden Bridge, HX77BZ.
