I create intricate and elegant 3D wirework pieces, that cross the boundaries between drawing and sculpture. Initially inspired by tea and tea drinking, this has now moved into other interests, including wildflowers, trees and landscapes.
My work is exhibited nationally in contemporary craft galleries and fairs. I welcome commissions.
I am a wirework artist, creating intricate and elegant wirework pieces, that cross the boundaries between drawing and sculpture. Initially inspired by tea and tea drinking, influences and themes now include Victorian architecture, wildflowers, trees and landscapes.
Each piece starts as a pen and ink drawing, which then becomes the template for the wirework. I hand manipulate, shape and join the different guages of iron wire using pliers and wire cutters, to create unique, layered and detailed wirework drawings.
Recent commissions include the oldest yew tree in the country, a Southwold lighthouse scene and a stately home where a couple got married. Most thingsare possible, so do get in touch if you'd like to commission your own unique piece.
