Bring the Whole Family to Craft Festival
When I set up Craft Festival, back in 2004, I wanted to create a space that was welcoming to people who loved craft but also had young children. Basically, someone like me.
My children have been brought up at Craft Festival, Lewi was 6 months old in 2004 and started University this week. Ella was 3 in 2004 and is now in the throws of Teachers Training at her old Primary School! They loved coming to Craft Festival and immersing themselves in making.
So, don't hold back and bring the whole family to Craft Festival Cheltenham. We have 3 Free, drop in Festive workshops for young people to enjoy. Meet Aardman Superstar, Jim Parkyn and the magnificent teams at Llantarnam Grange and Unit Twelve who will be leading the Festive fun.
Unit Twelve is headed up by the inspirational paper artist, Jennifer Collier. I asked Jen if she would chose which makers she was looking forward to seeing. Read on for her 5 Favourites .

Jennifer Collier
Unit Twelve's Paper pioneer, Jennifer Collier constructs and stitches sculptures from vintage recycled materials; a contemporary twist on traditional textiles. The papers serve as both the inspiration and the media for the work, with the narrative suggesting the forms. Read on to discover her 5 favourites.
Justine Allison
The meticulousness of Justine’s work appeals to me, and I really appreciate the many hours she spends with masking tape and a scalpel to decorate her pieces.
Lindsey Mann
I simply adore the use of screen print to decorate the surface of Lindsey's her work, and the use of retro colours and shapes to create truly unique jewellery.
Keeley Traae
Keeley's use of colour is exceptional- not only do the colours pop, but they all have brilliants names too! The shapes are effortlessly stylish, and I love the fact they are also made from biodegradable printing materials.
Treefall
What is there NOT to love about penguins in scarves, badgers with satchels and lobsters in Breton stripes. Manda's work is full of joy and beautifully made, with an exquisite attention to detail.
Michaela McMillan
Michaela's work is nothing short of fantastical and cannot fail to make you break into a beaming smile. Utterly joyful.
