Silversmith and maille maker.
Graduating with a BA (Hons) in Silversmithing & Jewellery from Truro College I went on to study at Bishopsland.
As a silversmith, intuitive ideas dictate how I work the silver. Through raising, planishing and chasing & repousse, I see, feel and hear how the metal responds beneath my hammers. I interweave these traditional skills to create heirloom pieces in silver that will grace any table. From beakers, jugs and candlesticks, to items associated with the wonderful tradition of tea drinking, each piece is intended for use and enjoyment and created from my own designs. I am always happy to discuss commissions.
Responding to the heritage crafts side of my work has seen me become the first female maille maker (chainmail) in the UK. As a critically endangered craft I utilise more traditional methods to help protect and preserve maille for the future generations.
These passions, skills and knowledge are shared through teaching, talks and demos.
