I’m Alison Bick, a designer maker selling lampshades and textile homewares that I’ve made with fabric printed with my illustrations.  I work from my studio at Krowji creative hub in Redruth, Cornwall.

I’m inspired to create my designs from stories told by my Cornish family,  the hot bold tropical colours from my childhood in Vanuatu, and the shapes and patterns found in the natural world.

Using my illustration skills I design work that really comes from my heart - each illustration has a story behind it that is personal to me, but also is a commonplace memory or shared emotion.  I love to hear from my customers who will often share with me their favourite flower or stories with special meaning to them, their own stories of growing up by the sea, and why they decided on a particular design when choosing a lampshade.
