Hand crafted finely thrown vessels in porcelain, Cornish stoneware and Devon 'wild' clays, inspired by Dartmoor's landscapes/flora, made in my remote granite barn studio on the edge of the moor. I am currently working with a unique source of hand dug Dartmoor wild clay, creating vessels which are contemporary in form, yet firmly embedded in the past. Granite inclusions from the edge of the moor are incorporated into another collection of vase and bottle forms, and I am developing ash glazes using wood from fallen native trees. Please visit my Instagram account for images of recent work and to view the connection between my work and the environment in which I live and practice my ceramics. My work is exhibited and sold in galleries, at selected national shows, and via commission and local events. I have just opened an online store on my website. As well as being a selected member of Find A Maker, I am a member of the West Country Potters Association, a selected member of the Crafts Council Directory and an Associate member of the Craft Potters Association. Recently, I have been privileged to receive Arts Council England funding for an ongoing collaborative project - 'Here's to thee' - focusing on the traditional Devon wassail, coordinated by Simon Pope of the University of Toronto.
